These in-person moderation clusters will provide Year 6 teachers with the opportunity to hear key messages arising from the external moderations that took place in the summer term 2026. We will explore standards and expectations in writing, through standardisation materials, and work together with colleagues from other schools, analysing where pupils are currently attaining and identifying gaps and next steps. We recommend that teachers bring evidence of writing for at least 2 pupils from their class - including one who is targeted to achieve the Expected Standard at the end of KS2. Further information will be sent to delegates in advance of the session. Sessions will take place at locations around the county, so schools can select the date/location that best suits them. Please note, discounts apply where schools send more than one teacher.
