The papers cover the full National Curriculum content for each year group to support teacher assessment judgements and to inform planning for the next academic year. For Year 6 children, this will inform secondary school transition.
‘So what now? I know the gaps, but how and when do I address them?’
The multiple-choice questions have been specifically designed to identify where pupils are making common errors or have specific misconceptions. This will enable teachers to plan for pre-teaching and / or rehearsal by revisiting previously taught content.
Each set of assessment materials for Year 5 and Year 6 in single or mixed age classes contains the following:
- Paper 1 – Arithmetic
- Paper 2 – Reasoning
- Digital markbook with filters and reports to enable forensic gap analysis
- Planning and transition guide to precisely inform planning and teaching for the autumn term for the whole class, groups and individuals
