About this course

SIMS Next Gen – New User Core This course introduces staff to SIMS Next Gen, the cloud‑based MIS designed to streamline operations and provide real‑time pupil and staff data. Users will learn to navigate the role‑based homepage, menus and dashboards. The course covers accessing key modules such as registers, profiles, groups, timetables and conduct tools. Participants will also learn to add and maintain pupil details, including SEND, medical and dietary information, manage contacts and create Custom Groups. Bulk editing tools support efficient data updates. The course also covers importing and exporting CTFs and ensuring data accuracy, with census processes moving fully into Next Gen. By the end, users will confidently manage core tasks and maintain accurate pupil and contact data across SIMS Next Gen.
