About this course
This live webinar provides early years practitioners with essential safeguarding and child protection knowledge as set out in the EYFS Annex C. It supports practitioners working with children aged 0–5 to understand their responsibility to keep children safe and to share concerns appropriately. The course explains how safeguarding and child protection relate to individual roles, including compliance with the EYFS and relevant legislation. It explores ways of working that safeguard children from abuse, harm and neglect, and helps participants to recognise the main categories and possible indicators of abuse. The session also considers factors, situations and actions that may lead to or contribute to abuse, harm or neglect. Practitioners will learn how to recognise, respond to, record and effectively refer concerns or allegations, including those relating to other persons working with children.
