About this course

Delivered by a range of specialist advisers from HFL Education, our termly Primary Headteachers' Seminars provide updates on current topics in primary education. These sessions aim to provide a balance of information and updates with guidance and support - arming senior leaders with the education headlines and ways to move forwards. Regular leadership inputs focus on DFE and Ofsted updates as well as wider horizon scanning. Subject, area and phase specific updates cover what headteachers and senior leaders might be focusing on and offer specialist, expert guidance. Understanding that these sessions are packed with content, headteachers are invited to book themselves and another member of their senior leadership team on to support school discussion and follow up. Each term there is an in-person and an online session, both with identical content. All those booked on receive access to the slides and the recording of the online session to support follow up.

  • receive information and updates on current topics in primary education

  • explore releases from the DFE, Ofsted and others, along with guidance from advisers

  • take content, updates and ideas back into school, to share with colleagues

  • be supported to 'horizon scan' and make appropriate strategic decisions for the school
