About this course

These termly Primary Assessment Briefings provide primary leaders, particularly those responsible for assessment, with timely updates, reminders and insight into current national assessment developments. Each one‑hour webinar aligns with the primary assessment calendar and reflects changes in DfE messaging and wider assessment expectations. The autumn session covers published data from Summer 2025, updates to IDSR and ASP, Year 6 writing messages, and the place of assessment in the new Ofsted framework. The spring session focuses on changes to STA statutory guidance, key statutory actions, KS2 SATs requirements, access arrangements and implications of the Curriculum and Assessment Review. The summer session offers key reminders for SATs, statutory actions, phonics administration, moderation messages, reporting to parents and transition.
