About this course

This fully funded programme supports Hertfordshire schools in responding confidently and effectively to increasing numbers of newly arrived children and families, including those from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds. Participants will explore practical strategies for inclusion, safeguarding, wellbeing, attendance, family engagement and community cohesion. Drawing on expertise from HFL Education, Hertfordshire County Council and specialist partners, the programme will provide current local context, case studies, tools and resources that can be implemented immediately. The course includes input on trauma-informed practice, English language acquisition, multi-agency working and culturally responsive approaches.
