Available to anyone booking on behalf of a school or setting who wishes to pay by card.

About this course

Are you feeling like it’s a challenge to meet the needs of your multilingual learners? This course is designed to develop your confidence in understanding how to meet the needs of children learning English as an additional language to ensure all children thrive in your school or setting. The training will give you tools and strategies to support the needs of children learning English as an additional language within the cohort. Delegates will learn about the importance of the role of first languages spoken in developing children’s confidence to become fluent English speakers. You will receive a range of practical ideas around curriculum implementation, books, diversity and inclusion, and vocabulary development

  • build skills to support EAL learners, including understanding how language is acquired

  • explore creating learning environments where every child feels valued, respected, included

  • build confidence using strategies that support teaching and learning for EAL learners
