About this course

This training session supports Reception class practitioners to develop a clear and secure understanding of the EYFS Profile and its statutory requirements. The session focuses on the purpose and use of the Early Learning Goals (ELGs) and how they are applied within the EYFS Profile to make accurate end of Reception judgements. Practitioners will explore what the ELGs represent, how they should be interpreted, and how evidence gathered through everyday practice informs assessment decisions. The session will also consider consistency and confidence in using the EYFS Profile, supporting practitioners to understand their professional responsibilities and ensure assessments are fair, accurate, and in line with statutory guidance. This training is suitable for teachers and practitioners responsible for completing the EYFS Profile.
