For individuals booking a single personal space on this course
This online CPD will support teachers and leaders who are new to ESSENTIALSPELLING, as well as those wishing to refresh their understanding of the programme. The training focuses on the Year 2 resource and will equip staff with a secure understanding of how to use the plans and materials to support all pupils, regardless of their current phonics or spelling attainment. The CPD includes a 90 minute pre recorded session exploring Year 2 phonics and spelling pedagogy, alongside an introduction to the principles underpinning the scheme. A further 90 minute live webinar looks in depth at the Year 2 resource and considers how to make the most of the planning. Delegates will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Both sessions will be available via the Hub dashboard for the duration of the 26–27 academic year. Please note that the ESSENTIALSPELLING resource is not included in the training and must be purchased separately.
