For individuals booking a single personal space on this course
A practical guide to completing the final close and preparing your finance system for year end. This course walks delegates through the full process for completing the final close of the previous financial year, using clear steps and school focused examples. Please note that this process can only be completed once the local authority has authorised the final close. If authorisation for 2025/2026 is still pending, the full procedure will be explained in detail, but schools/settings may not be able to action the final close during the session. Alongside the final close process, the course will take an in depth look at each section of the Year End Preparation Guide, ensuring delegates fully understand the essential checks required to prepare their finance system for year end. We will also review all other financial Alerts & Technical guides released since the start of the financial year, highlighting what needs completing and why it matters.
