Supporting Year 6 teachers in understanding KS2 statutory assessment and securing strong outcomes across maths, reading, writing. Delivered through a blend of face-to-face and live webinar sessions, the package provides a balance of practical strategies, research-informed approaches and expert guidance to strengthen teaching and accelerate pupil progress.
Participants will explore effective approaches to developing fluency, reasoning, problem solving and comprehension, alongside strategies to improve writing outcomes and nurture confident, independent learners. The programme also builds a secure understanding of Key Stage 2 standards, including the Teacher Assessment Framework, moderation processes and statutory assessment requirements.
Across all sessions, teachers will examine common barriers to learning, analyse class data including gap analysis, and identify high-value learning to inform next steps. With a strong focus on applying learning in the classroom, this package equips practitioners with the knowledge, tools and confidence to ensure all pupils are well prepared to meet end of Key Stage 2 expectations.

A live webinar focussing on the statutory requirements for assessment in Year 6, supporting teachers to be fully prepared for assessment processes, compliance, evidence and statutory responsibilities.
This course clarifies Key Stage 2 writing standards, explores the KS2 Teacher Assessment Framework and moderation process, and shares practical teaching strategies to help pupils meet expected standards. Delivered by English and Assessment advisers, it equips Year 6 teachers with exemplification materials, moderator insights and high‑quality approaches to secure strong writing outcomes while nurturing confident, enthusiastic writers.
