Reactivating lost learning and developing independence in mathematics for teaching assistants in KS1: Focus on fractions 2022 -23

This course will focus upon the key learning priorities for Year 1 and 2 pupils in the context of fractions. It will help adults effectively support to build independent and confident learners. 

This will include tackling the key fractions concepts that pupils find tricky and exploring effective strategies to guide them towards success and independence in a sensitive manner. Teaching assistants will be given an opportunity to deepen their own subject knowledge in key learning whilst remaining focused on developing the independence of the pupils. 

This course will comprise of pre-recorded modules that will be available until 31st July 2023.
