About this course

Attendance at the morning session is mandatory for Silver contracts

The course will form two parts:

Morning will include:

  • overview of the year-end processes on Arbor Finance including housekeeping
  • review of the Financial Services checklist to be completed ahead of this session
  • latest updates from HCC

Delegates need to have completed the school’s financial accounts to 31st March 2024, including the bank reconciliation and comprehensive system reconciliation.

Delegates need to have prepared a completed list of accruals and committed balances before attending the morning session.

Delegates need to have submitted the final capital return (not applicable to VA schools) before attending the morning session.

Attendance at the afternoon session is optional

Financial Services staff will be on hand throughout the afternoon to support delegates through the process of completing the year-end and to answer any queries relating to the year-end process.

Learning Outcomes

  • prepare the school’s financial data/finance system for year-end
  • submit the year-end accounts to HCC

Please DO NOT submit the period 12 VAT claim ahead of attending this workshop

Delegates should bring:

  • completed accounts to 31st March 2024
  • bank statement showing the bank balance as of 31st March 2024
  • completed period 12 comprehensive system reconciliation
  • copy of complete set of year-end accruals for entry to Arbor Finance
  • copy of submitted final capital return (not applicable to VA schools)
