Financial Services Arbor Finance New Users

About this course

This course consists of:

• an e-learning module introducing Consistent Financial Reporting (CFR)
• three half day, live sessions

The CFR module introduces delegates to this reporting structure, which maintained schools must use to account for income and expenditure. 

The live sessions will cover:

• day 1 – an introduction to the Arbor Finance software, the coding structure and how to post simple income and expenditure transactions
• day 2 – how to post more complex transactions, including payroll, setting up and using the duplicate batching facility and correcting errors
• day 3 – a recap on the previous sessions, bank reconciliations and an overview of the available reports

Delegates will receive login details for a training site and training materials ahead of the live sessions.

Learning Outcomes

• be aware of Consistent Financial Reporting requirements and its importance for maintained school accounts
• understand the general functionality of the Arbor Finance software
• be able to confidentially post income and expenditure transactions to the system
• be able to search for items in the software and correct errors

Additional Information

Before Day 1, delegates must:

• complete the CFR e-learning module
• check that they can log into the training site using the username and password provided prior to the live session. This will be given to you 1 week prior to the live day 1 session and is different to the schools normal signing in details
• check that they have received the training materials which are sent 1 week prior to the session date ahead of the live session
