About this course

This face-to-face, one day course will provide those that are new to the EYFS, or returning practitioners, a comprehensive overview of key aspects of effective practice and provision in Early years. The training will include statutory duties of the EYFS framework, daily routines, the importance of a high-quality learning environment inside and out, quality interactions and assessment processes that support progress and positive outcomes for all children.

Whether delegates are completely new to the EYFS or returning after a break, this valuable course will equip delegates with the knowledge and understanding to become effective practitioners within school Nursery and Reception classes.

Learning outcomes

  • to understand the statutory framework for the EYFS and associated non-statutory guidance
  • to learn about the key components of effective early years provision including environment, daily routine and adult/child interactions
  • to understand the assessment processes in the EYFS that support children’s on-going progress and guide further improvements to practice in order to meet children’s needs most effectively
