Writing and stamina for Year 5 and 6 – a book-based approach

About this course

The aim of every primary teacher is to nurture authentic, confident writers. This course is perfect if you would like to engage pupils with writing and help build their stamina, vocabulary, sentence variation, punctuation and grammar.

Throughout the course, you will explore a range of approaches to swiftly improve the quality of writing in Year 5 and 6.

Harnessing the power of wonderful children’s literature, your knowledgeable and experienced trainers will guide participants through a range of approaches that teachers can put into action straight away. 

Your school will see increased resilience and improved written attainment in their pupils as a result. Most importantly, your pupils will develop their writer’s voice and see writing as an enjoyable experience.
