Whether you are new to leading English in your school or a seasoned middle leader, these sessions are designed to build your expertise in vital aspects of the Primary English Curriculum. Each half term we will explore one key area of Primary English leadership in greater depth, following the flow of the academic year. We will share the latest guidance and research that will keep you up to date with best practice and support you in your role. Each session is especially selected to help you prioritise key actions, make strategic decisions and ensure maximum impact in English across your school.
Join us to discuss topical issues and take away practical ideas and solutions to use back in school. These one-hour sessions offer you an opportunity to network with other Primary English leaders and leverage the experience of the Primary English team. Across the year you will enjoy professional conversations around:
- what needs to happen (and when) this academic year
- how is best to lead colleagues supportively
- the right approach to develop a whole school English curriculum
- how to ensure that provision maximises learning
- the whole school picture by hearing from guest speakers with relevant specialisms, for example, assessment, SEND, EYFS etc
