SEND... ready for Ofsted?

About this course

This full day course is relevant for SENCOs and senior leaders with responsibility for special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).  During the day we will explore the Framework for Inspection, and consider, in detail, how the school can use its day-to-day monitoring and self-evaluation approaches to evidence good practice. Common themes from recent Ofsted inspections will be shared throughout the session.

Learning outcomes

Delegates will:

• be introduced to the current Education Inspection Framework and explore how SEND provision will be evaluated under each judgement area
• reflect on their setting’s self-evaluation and monitoring processes, and consider how information can be used to evidence the impact on outcomes of day-to-day good practice
• know how to support all staff to demonstrate that ‘SEND is everyone’s business’
