HFL Spotlight on expanding your baby room

About this course

The childcare expansion has led to many settings considering extending their current baby room provision or, for some settings, to open their settings up to take under 2’s for the first time.

This spotlight will cover what settings need to consider including statutory requirements, practical strategies and logistical aspects.

Learning outcomes

• know what they must have in place to meet the statutory requirements
• gain knowledge of important aspects of baby care, such as safer sleep
• understand what an enabling environment should include for children under the age of 2
