About this course

These in-person moderation clusters will provide Year 6 teachers with the opportunity to take stock of where their children are in their writing, analysing their current attainment and identify gaps and next steps.  We recommend that teachers bring evidence of writing for at least 3 children from their class – including, if possible, one who is targeted to achieve the Expected Standard at the end of the year, one who is targeted to be Working at Greater Depth and any other that teachers would find useful to discuss.  Further information will be sent to delegates in advance of the session. 

Learning Outcomes

• increased confidence in understanding standards and expectations at the end of KS2 
• clear understanding of their own children’s current attainment and areas to focus on in teaching
