About this course
Brand new for 2025! A fully funded Transition Day for EYFS practitioners working in schools to support planning for their incoming cohorts. Delegates will be able to access five sessions throughout the day covering potential barriers to learning that have been identified on transition level of need tools for September starters.
This will be delivered online and teachers and practitioners can join us for the whole day or access sessions that are pertinent to them. All sessions will be recorded and shared with delegates booked onto the training day.Agenda:
9:15am – 9:30am Introduction: Tailoring transition to the need of your cohorts
9:30am – 10:15am Supporting Multilingual and English as an additional language learners with transition to school
10:30am – 11:15am Supporting children with self-regulation as they transition into school
11:30am – 12:30pm Supporting children with SEND as they transition into school
1:30pm – 2:15pm Supporting underserved learners with transition to school
2:30pm – 3:15pm Supporting children with communication and language needs as they transition into school

- to understand the specific need of each child identified on the transition level of need tool and the type of support required
- to reflect on current transition procedures and make adaptations to meet the needs of every child regardless of level of need
- to gain strategies to support every child to have a smooth transition into school
