- Writing Across the Curriculum: ensuring excellent and enjoyment in all subjects 

In this session we will explore the four key writing purposes (to entertain, inform, persuade and discuss), and how the language choices underpinning these purposes can and should be applied within foundation subjects.  A variety of ways in which writing skills can be practised and applied within subjects such as history, geography and D&T shall be discussed, along with suggestions for support and scaffolds to support all writers.

  • Have a greater understanding of the key principles of writing for purpose and audience and its application across a range of subjects 
  • Feel equipped to consider a range of ways to apply key writing skills in foundation subjects, along with strategies and scaffolds to support the writing process 
  • Gain knowledge to enrich your current provision offer 

The Big Staff Meeting Series has two sessions each half term. 

All sessions are live, online from 3:45pm - 5pm on a Tuesday.  There will also be a recording made available shortly after each session for all schools booked on.    Sessions can all be booked individually, or through one of the pre-set groups of sessions, or as all 12 sessions.
