Secondary AI Focus Group

About this group

The AI focus group for secondary schools meets once a term, to discuss and share experiences of using AI tools in schools and settings.

Leaders with an interest in AI are invited to attend and, importantly, contribute to each online session, which may include:

• Demonstrations of AI tools, by and for group participants
• The chance to hear about what other schools are doing, and share what you are doing, with AI
• Discussion around the ethical and safe use of AI.
• Participation in polls and other sharing activities.
• A chance to ask and answer questions.

For each session, HFL will invite a relevant 3rd party vendor to present their educational AI product to the group, giving members a chance to ask questions and find out more.

Learning outcomes:

• Learn how other schools are using AI tools.
• Learn about new AI tools and their uses.
• Inform and guide their own practice, and that of colleagues, in using AI tools.
• Develop understanding of safe and ethical use of AI, through discussion and shared experiences.
