Starting Strong – Embedding safe, inclusive practice in Early years
About this course
HFL Education are commissioned by the Early Years Services (HCC) to provide a FREE (fully funded) workshop each term, to support closing the gap. This session includes relevant early years PVI safeguarding and sector updates and a focus on topics to help close the gap in Hertfordshire. This live webinar aims to provide support for those children who may not achieve as well as their peers, offering settings and practitioners an opportunity to update their skills and knowledge to best support children’s learning and development.
Learning outcomes
- Safeguarding and sector updates with a particular focus on the updated EYFS (September 25)
- Essential reflection for leaders and practitioners around the incoming Ofsted Early Years inspection framework
- Inclusion under the spotlight – striving for equity and excellence in Early Years. How do we know we are getting it right for all of our children?

PLEASE NOTE: These sessions are repeated, so delegates only need to attend one of the termly sessions, whichever is the most convenient. In the event of you not being able to attend either session, you can book onto one and request the recording to watch at a convenient time. As PVI settings, childminders are very welcome to access these workshops either by watching live or emailing pvitraining@hfleducation.org for a recording that can be watched around your minding times. Childminders can also access a dedicated childminder workshop session in the evening each term.
