Our brand new EYFS e-learning induction programme includes 4 modules of self-paced e-learning. Each module allows you to explore your role in greater detail supporting your practice along the way with reflective tasks. Using a wide range of engaging learning styles, participants can learn at their own pace in a way that suits them best.

Included in this programme:

Module 1: Understanding and working with the EYFS Statutory Framework

• Introduces the Statutory framework
• Understand the learning and development requirements
• Gain an overview of assessment requirements
• Become familiar with the safeguarding and welfare requirements

Module 2: Understanding child development

• Gain an understanding of child development
• Explore the stages of play
• Increase awareness of the adult role in responding to children’s developmental needs
• Become aware of recognised non-statutory guidance that can be used to support professional judgements

Module 3: Teaching and Learning in the early years

• Gain confidence in responding appropriately to day to day observations
• Understand how to assess children’s learning and make decisions about what a child needs to learn and be able to do next
• Understand effective methods of teaching early years children

Module 4: Supporting literacy and maths in everyday practice

• What literacy and maths looks like as part of an early years curriculum
• Explore your role in providing teaching opportunities to support children’s understanding of literacy and maths
• Practical ideas for embedding literacy and maths into the rhythms and routines of the day

A 12-page reflective journal to guide your study with resources to improve your existing induction supporting you to put your learning into practice. Linked activities to embed your learning in your own setting, with your own cohort.
