About this course
This two-part course is aimed at inspiring and developing teachers newer to science subject leadership or looking to develop their leadership of science.
Over 2 full days of training, delegates will gain an in depth understanding of the role of science leader and develop the skills and knowledge to lead with confidence. The science curriculum will be unpicked to explore sequencing and progression in both subject knowledge and working scientifically skills. A range of effective teaching, learning and assessment strategies will be showcased to enable subject leaders to deepen their subject-specific knowledge, pedagogy and understanding.
£342 per delegate includes two full training days, templates and resources to enable straightforward dissemination back in school.

- to grow subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science and Science subject leadership
- to gain understanding of sequencing and progression in scientific concepts (substantive knowledge) and working scientifically skills (disciplinary knowledge) and consider the most effective teaching approaches for both
- to gain confidence in sharing strong practice with colleagues in school
