Capability Workshop - 2025

About this course

We will look at the differences between capability and conduct issues and move to the instigation of the capability procedure. We will then cover the statutory/policy framework and problem areas including personality issues and where illness affects performance. We also look at the informal and formal capability management procedures and some top tips to handle different scenarios based on case studies.

Learning outcomes

• Confidence in how the capability procedure works and an understanding of timescales.

• An ability to better understand potential legal risk (Discrimination / Equality Act)

Preferable to be in line management role but not essential
