About this course

This session aims to increase understanding of how to harness leadership skills to develop leadership capacity, build teams and manage change as part of improving school effectiveness.

Areas covered will include:

• examining leadership styles
• managing change
• the characteristics of effective team based working
• developing an effective team
• exploring the link between emotional intelligence and  leadership

Learning Outcomes

• an increased understanding of leadership styles and drawing on them to effect and manage change and school improvement
