About this course
This reflective and practical session, run as part of The Bell Foundation's Language for Results suite of training, is essential for all primary staff working with pupils who use English as an additional language.
This session provides staff with guidance on how to adapt teaching in a responsive way to meet the language development needs of pupils who use EAL alongside curriculum learning.
The session introduces a range of easy to use strategies that can be implemented immediately into teaching and learning without lowering expectations of the pupils.

- To understand the distinct EAL pedagogy and Key EAL Principles
- To develop an understanding of different strategies to adapt teaching for multilingual learners at different levels of language proficiency in English
- To consider how the strategies can be used to support multilingual learners in your context.
